During the summer months, Duke Forest typically hires 1 – 2 college students to assist with the maintenance and operation of the Forest. Typical duties include:
- Road and trail maintenance
- Timber inventory and harvest prep
- Gate and sign improvement
- Boundary line marking
- Data and records organization
- GPS data collection
- GIS data entry
