DESCRIPTION:Dedicated to Discovery\nLearn about research taking place along
  Duke Forest's beautiful stretch of New Hope Creek.\nResearchers come from
  across Duke University\, the country\, and the world to study in the Duke
  Forest\, Duke University’s largest laboratory and outdoor classroom. Jo
 in Duke Forest staff and researchers for an opportunity to discover scient
 ific endeavors along New Hope Creek\, which flows from western Orange Coun
 ty through the Duke Forest Korstian Division and ultimately into Jordan La
 ke. The following presenters and projects will be featured:\n\n\n\n\n \nAq
 ua-terrestrial Biogeochemistry research from the Bernhardt Lab at Duke Uni

 ce: This tour is geared toward adult audiences (ages 18+). Any minors inte
 rested in participating must have a parent or guardian present and have an
  active interest in the subject.\n&nbsp\;\nAccessibility:\n\n\n 	Tour part
 icipants will be on their feet throughout this 3-hour tour\, walking betwe
 en featured sites and standing while listening to presentations. This will
  include walking on unpaved or gravel surfaces\, short uphill and downhill
  sections\, and traversing on dirt foot trails. We invite you to bring alo
 ng a walking stick or trekking poles if you need.\n 	There are NO BATHROOM
 S in the tour area\, so please plan accordingly.\n 	Parking is available a
 nd will be directed by Duke Forest staff.\n 	Our registration form include
 s a question where you can share details about any accessibility needs you
  may have. If you have accessibility considerations that you’d like to m
 ake our staff aware of\, please let us know!\n\nRegistration is full. Howe
 ver\, you may sign up for the waitlist here.\nSpace is limited to 24 parti
 cipants and is first-come\, first-served. Once the first 24 spaces are fil

 ails—including driving and parking directions— will be sent to confirm
 ed registrants one week prior to the event.
